Part-Time Cashier and Water Tester

 As a Part-Time Cashier, you will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to customers at our retail store. You will process sales transactions accurately, answer customer inquiries, and assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area. As you become more familiar with the products, you’ll be trained on water testing along with educating customers on pool products and assisting with sales. 

1. Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them with locating products or directing them to the appropriate department.
2. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
3. Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
4. Bag merchandise for customers and provide assistance with loading purchases if needed.
5. Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and store policies in a friendly and professional manner.
6. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including wiping down counters and ensuring all supplies are stocked.
7. Assist with restocking merchandise on shelves and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.
8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
9. Adhere to all safety and security procedures to prevent theft and maintain a safe working environment.
10. Assist with other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

1. Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
2. Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
4. Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
6. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
7. High school diploma or equivalent.
